Dorothy O. Walters, 83, of Palmer Twp., PA died Friday, February 6, 2015 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House.

Born April 3, 1931 in Easton, PA she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Matilda (Schwar) Ott.

A 1949 graduate of Easton High School she had been a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Twp., PA.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Ray M. Walters; 4 children: Karen Hanchett and her husband Bill of Poughkeepsie, NY, Diane Snell of Bethlehem, PA, Gary Walters and his wife Adrienne of Stratford, CT, Kenneth Walters of Slatington, PA; a brother: Donald Ott of Glendon Heights, PA; 3 sisters: Josephine Blackton of Bethlehem Twp., PA, Lois Hartenstine and Barbara Hendricks of Palmer Twp., PA; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14 in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Easton, PA with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton, PA is handling the arrangements. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice, c/o Development Office, 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem, PA 18015.

    My sincere condolences to your family. I have such fond memories being w/ her up at the Land, to breakfast on Covington St. She was a wonderful Mother, grandmother, and wife, friend to all. Always with a warm smile.
