Duane P. “Bussy” Hartzell, 86, of Wilson Borough, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 in Moravian Village, Bethlehem.
Born March 11, 1930 in Wilson Borough, he was a son of the late Wallace and Edith (Purdy) Hartzell.
He and his wife, Nancy C. (Waltz) Hartzell were married 67 years. He was part owner of R&R Provision Co., Easton for 40 years and retired in 1988. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1948, served in the Navy Reserve and was a member of the Palmer Township Volunteer Fire Co.
Surviving with his wife, Nancy, are a daughter, Gloria Hagenbuch and her husband, David of Williams Township; two sons, Dennis Hartzell and his wife, Kathy of Palmer Township and Daniel Hartzell and his wife, Kathleen of Palmer Township; a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hartzell of Palmer Township; 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. His son, Barry and a grandson died earlier.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 29, 2016 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. A visitation will be held from 6–7:00 pm on Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Offer online condolences at www.AshtonFuneralHome.com.
