Evelyn D. Cawley, 88 formerly of West Easton, PA died Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Gracedale. Born February 9, 1929 in Williams Twp., PA she was a daughter of the late Annie (Hoover) and Victor Kichline. She had been employed by the former Shapiro and Avanti factories for several years and volunteered at the Easton Senior Center. Her husband William J. “Jake” Cawley died in 2009.
She is survived by a son: Douglas Cawley and his wife Linda of Stockertown, PA; three grandchildren: Michael, Brandi and Dania and two great-grandsons: Evan and Eli. She was predeceased by her husband Jake and her son Jeffrey who died in 2015.
Services are 10:30 AM Wednesday (Aug. 16) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton with visitation 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Offer online condolences at www.AshtonFuneralHome.com.

I best remember my aunt Evelyn as a very kind and friendly person who would help anybody.i remember she always loved flowers and when she and Jake used to come to the farm she would always pick some to take home.im going to miss her and offer my condolences and best wishes for the family moving forward.
