John was a caring and enthusiastic faculty member dedicated to his students at Montgomery County Community College. His students, friends, and colleagues at the College will sorely miss his talents.

As a few of his students noted:

“His enthusiasm for the class was contagious.”

“Overall the best … class I have ever taken”

    “Great professor!”

John was a gifted friend, near and from far away. He knew my love of art by Monet and van Gogh, and often posted pictures of these works of art on his Facebook page. I told him he was my personal art dealer. I loved his unique gift of humor, and the way he looked at the world. He was passionate about life and what he thought was the right thing to do. I will miss him, but will hold my memories of him close to my heart. My prayers are sent to his family and friends. Heaven has a most beautiful angel.

When I answered the phone at West Campus and was told of the passing of John, his name seemed so familiar to me. But after I hung up I realized he was the professor who sat right across from my desk for 1 semester.

He was so pleasant. loved teaching and truly cared about his students. I was hoping he would teach more often at West, but he said he had classes for the next semester at Central Campus.

I will always remember his kindness; he left quite an impression on me. I send thoughts and prayers out to his family and his friends. Heaven will be blessed by his presence.

    The Csellak Family,
John was such a wonderful person. Kind, gentle, love to laugh, and so incredibily intelligent. As his brother in DeMolay, he and countless other DeMolay Brothers, and others affiliated experienced what a wonderful man he was. We had great times together as teenagers and fellow State Officers. I never knew a time when he wasn’t smiling ear to ear and pushing some of this great wit and humor on us. We are going to miss him. He was taken from us way too soon, but God has great plans for John. I cannot say enough great things about him other than to say he was a great friend and brother in the Order of Demolay.

I might not have know my father that well due to me being quite young at the time and I wasn’t told a lot about him growing up in case it made me sad. But seeing all these beautiful messages makes me feel closer to him. Thank you to everyone.
