Karl was a loving and devoted husband, father and friend, and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Janna and Lisa; son, Andrew and four grandsons, Karl, Joey, Theo and Ian.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Shirley, and sister, Ethel Mae Reeves.

Karl Dutt was an outstanding counselor, educator, adminisrator , and coach, but most importantly an all around decent human being that you loved to be around. He was baseball coach at Easton but I also knew him professionally through his work at CIT and Lehigh County Vo-Tech. He was a gentleman who cared about kids and was always the ultimate professionally when many around him were not. He was the best. I have lost a dear friend. I am so glad I got him to throw out the first pitch on the 50th anniversary game and got him to attend one last Lafayette baseball game. He will be missed by many.

I am sad to learn of the passing of my guidance counselor in 1963. Mr. Dutt was a kind and gentle man who stayed in my consciousness over the years. My deepest condolences to his family .

I was sorry to hear of Karl’s passing. As principal at Nazareth Area High School in the early 80’s, I had the pleasure of working with Karl and liked him very much. He was a gentleman and a real “class act”. I believe all of my colleagues as well as the staff at the Vo-Tech felt the same way. He will be remembered in a very nice way!

Just learned of his passing. It was a pleasure to have briefly known him. I remember him sitting and sleeping with his hand on his head. Much respect.
