Marjorie Joan “Mickey” Miller

Marjorie Joan “Mickey” Miller, 74, of Forks Twp., PA formerly of Cranford, NJ died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in the Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital.

Born: August 22, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ she was a daughter of the late James and Lillian (Maxwell) Griffen. She and her husband Charles T. Miller have been married for 49 years.

Personal: A graduate of Lincoln HS, Jersey City, she had been employed by the Union County Savings and Loan for 10 years. She was also a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack #103 in Cranford for 20 years and an avid crafter.

Memberships: She was a member of Arndts Lutheran Church, Forks Twp., PA and she had been a member of the Altar Guild and a Sunday School teacher at Calvary Lutheran Church in Cranford, NJ.

Survivors: Her husband: Charles; 2 sons: Charles M. and his wife Maureen of Cherry Hill, NJ; Scott A. and his wife Denise of Manahawkin, NJ; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and 6 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother and a sister.

Services: 11 AM Saturday (Mar. 29) in Arndts Lutheran Church, 1851 Arndt Road, Easton with visitation 6 to 8 PM Friday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton and 10 to 11AM Saturday in the Church.

Memorial Contributions: May be made to the Arndts Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1851 Arndt Road, Easton, PA 18040.

    Mickey was a wonderful woman, loving wife, the joy of her life was her grandchildren, she beamed when talking about them. I am so lucky she considered me a friend. We will miss her.

    We knew “Mickey” especially through the craft group in our community. She was a special dear lady. We know she was so loved by her family, church, community and the Cub Scouts. She will be missed by many.

    Dear Charlie: Please accept our condolences on the loss of your wonderful wife and friend, Mickey. She was an inspiration to anyone who met her, and your complete and loving devotion to her was amazing. The congregation of Arndt’s will certainly miss her bright and friendly smile. Our sympathy also extends to the rest of your family.
