To Olinda’s family: I am so saddened to receive the news of the passing of my dear friend Olinda. We grew up together in Howertown and have remained friends for many years. I just found out that her services were today and had I known earlier I certainly would have been there. My sincere sympathy to her family. I know she will be missed by all. Nancy & Bob Galler

Olinda was a very special, very important part of the McFamily. When I heard that she was retiring, I felt a deep sense of loss. This was somewhat tempered, though, by the fact that I was told she wasn’t well. Olinda was an absolutely wonderful employee, but more important she was a great, generous person. I didn’t, at first, think she was seriously ill, and my son, Mike, and I were planning a retirement party for her at a nearby restaurant.
When Olinda showed up at the All Star football game concession stand, I was stunned by her appearance. I knew immediately that she was seriously ill. This was confirmed when she left early. She would never do that – she was always among the first to arrive and the last to leave.
We shall all miss her very much. Olinda was a treasure we will always keep in our hearts.

My deepest condolences to Olinda’s Family.

I just became aware of her passing today.
I worked with “O” for thirteen years. She was a constant that you could rely on. She would go the extra mile when needed. She had a tough outer shell but if you broke through it she would take you under her wing. I am sorry I lost touch with her the last few years. She was part of my McFamily when I was there.

    Rest in peace Olinda.

I was sorry to learn of Olinda’s passing. Although I had not seen her for a number of years, I have fond memories of her and the times we spent together as young girls growing up in Belfast. She was a kind, considerate and caring person.

My deepest sympathies to her family.

We were stunned and saddened to hear about Olinda’s passing. We had no idea she was ill, and did not know until yesterday that she had passed on! Kenny, we would have been there had we known! Know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We go back a long way with both your parents, if it hadn’t been for them I never would have met Guy 40 years ago! All the bowling tournaments, vacations, time spent together… So many great times and good memories.
