A Great Man who was known, loved and respected by so many. I had the privledge to call Tom a friend and fellow coach for over 20 years. What a guy. I never met anyone who could connect with people especially kids liked Tom. They loved and respected him so much. He also mentored many and helped open the door for my son who now enjoys a career as probation officer at Northampton County. It is said that at the end of our journey through life we should all look back and ask, is our little corner of the world a little better because we were here? When it comes to Tom, absolutely yes.

Mr. Marchetti was a Forks Township icon. My husband, three children and I will miss seeing him at the Forks fields and shopping at Giant wearing his Forks sports gear and big smile. He always stopped to chat and wondered how the kids were doing. We’ll all miss him.

During the period each of us served on the Pennsylvania State Police we got to meet some really exceptional people and also great law-officers.Tom was a person who easily stepped into this honorable image. He was a serious professional and a dedicated state trooper, and one who could often see the humor in most of what we had to do. Our world of law-enforcement is often difficult and it can easily render one weary from stress were it not people like Tom. He kept a lot of us equally effective and proficient while still being able to often share a laugh. We are proud to render him a final salute.

    Please accept our sincere condolences.
We had the pleasure of meeting Tom when our son Ryan played Midget football in Forks Township.
Many years have since passed and Tom would always have a big smile, a friendly hello and a firm handshake as he would ask how our son was doing.
Tom has helped shape many boy’s into fine upstanding young men.
Tom’s legacy as a dedicated public servant, coach and family man will live on in the lives of all he touched.
May God bless you and comfort your hearts.

Along with many others I enjoyed many rounds of golf with Tom, and have been missing him on the course for the last few years since his knees made that difficult for him. He always spoke to my children (and others’ children) around the forks athletics fields in a kind and engaging way that built esteem. I’ll miss him.

I’m very sorry for your loss.

Tom was a wonderful man and a friend of my father. Our families knew each other growing up and I have such fond memories of Tom and my dad throughout my life. When I became an Assistant District Attorney, he always looked out for me and made sure I was safe. It is because of men like him that I was able to do my job effectively. He made an enormous difference in this world and was a wonderful trooper, sheriff and father. He will be truly missed.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory. God bless you, Trooper Marchetti!

Tommy Marchetti was my classmate for all 12 years of grade school and high school in Exeter. I have not seen him since graduation, but it is heartwarming to hear all the wonderful comments about his life during the 58 years since. He came from a close Italian family, and I remember being impressed that he understood some of the Italian language. My heartfelt sympathies are with his family.
