Heaven has a new angel. Michelle Marie Featherman was born January 4, 1955 to Wayne and Barbara (Keeney) McCoy in Terre Haute Indiana and passed away on November 17, 2024. As the oldest of 3 girls, Michelle was always the responsible older sister. Michelle graduated from Moravian College and soon afterward married her soulmate Robin Featherman in June of 1979.
Michelle was a warm and caring mother, wife, sister, cousin, or friend who would ask “How are you?” and really mean it. She was a proud Mother and Grandmother who taught Sunday School for too many years to count at Calvary Baptist Church. She also home schooled all four of her children. She loved music, God, watching family softball teams, and yes the Eagles. She had an infectious laugh that will be missed by all.
Michelle is survived by her husband: Robin Featherman, children: Jason (Anna) Featherman, Naomi (Paul) Dennis, Zach (Rebecca) Featherman, Kyree (Nicole) Featherman, grandchildren: Felicity, Noah, Abby, Devin, Clayson, Violet, Noel, great-grandchild: Tripp, and sister Melanie McCoy (Tom Kenning). She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Melissa McCoy.
In accordance with her wishes to help others she has donated her body to science. A celebration of life will be held December 14, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church, Bethlehem. Family will welcome visitors at 10am, with service at 11am. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or Samaritans Purse. Offer online condolences at www.AshtonFuneralHome.com.

What a truly remarkable woman Michelle was! She was such an inspiration to me, so much as I became a Sunday School teacher because of her. Watching her teach my own children and others gave me encouragement to, at first help, then later teach Sunday School to children at Calvary Baptist Church in 1st & 2nd grade. She Loved the Lord with all her heart and was a hard worker in the church for the Jesus. I certainly enjoyed her laugh!
I will be praying for comfort and peace for the family and Robin. May God be your strength and strong Tower at this difficult time, God is a our refuge and strength, a very present help in our time of trouble (Ps. 46:1).
