Catherine T. Tigar, 75, of Phillipsburg, NJ died Saturday, August 4, 2012 in her home.
Born: October 26, 1936 in Easton she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Edith Scheetz.
Survivors: 4 daughters: Vivian Gruhler, Joann Shoemaker both of Bloomsbury; Diana Tigar of Easton; Cynthia Tigar of Phillipsburg; brothers: Pete and Gerald Scheetz; sister: Pat Harrison; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin L. and brother: Tom.
Services: Mass 1 p.m. Monday (8/13) in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Davis St., Easton with a calling period from 12:30 to 1 p.m. in the church; the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Harmony, NJ.

To the Tigar Family, may you be comforted by my following prayer: Abba, Father,
Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, eternal source of all comfort and compassion, thank You for the soul of Catherine Tigar and Your Light shone through her soul during her 75 year earthly sojourn. Please draw the souls of her family members and community members to Yourself opening the eyes of their souls to the loving salvation You offer. Bless their souls with comfort and strength through the loving ministry of Your Son Jesus Christ and anoint each of their souls with the oil of salvation and strength through the ministry of Your Holy Spirit as they adjust to the absence of Mrs. Tigar during the remainder of their earthly sojourns. In Christ’s name I pray, Amen!
P.S. I was a neighbor of your family when we resided in the Old Project in Phillipsburg during the sixties.
