James B. Stem

James B. Stem, 71, formerly of Easton, died Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Gracedale.

Born:  October 11, 1940 in Easton, he was a son of the late George S. and V. Claire (Benjamin) Stem.

Personal:  He had been “Khaki” the mascot for the Easton High School football team.

Memberships:  He was a former member of Olivet Presbyterian Church, Easton and attended First United Church of Christ, Easton.

Survivors:  Two brothers, Sherman Stem of Gracedale and Thomas Stem of Easton and three sisters, Elizabeth Smith of Easton, Mary Ellen Humes of Whitehall and Carol Ann Stem of Forks Township.

Services:  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 am in the Easton Heights Cemetery, North 10th St., Easton.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.

Memorials:  First United Church of Christ, 27 N. 3rd St., Easton, PA 18042.

    No words can really help to ease the loss you bear. Jimmy’s positive nature and passion for Easton Football will remain a fond memory. Thinking of him makes me smile.
