It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and dear friend to many. Vincent “Jimmy” N. Mondillo, Sr., 96 of Palmer Twp., PA passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Warren Campus, surrounded by those who loved him. Born August 21, 1929, in Phillipsburg, NJ he was the son of the late Frank and Grace Mondillo. He was a 1947 graduate of Phillipsburg Catholic High School and proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Jimmy was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Easton and the American Legion and VFW.

Music was one of Jimmy’s greatest passions. An exceptional and talented guitar player, he performed with numerous bands throughout several decades, including two of his most notable groups, The Vagabonds and September. Music was not simply something Jimmy played–it was a lifelong part of who he was. He shared his talent generously, teaching guitar to many students over the years and inspiring others to discover the joy of music. He was also a skilled piano tuner, keeping instruments in tune and helping preserve the music he loved. His guitar playing brought joy to countless people, and his love of music will remain an important part of his legacy.

Jimmy was exceptionally devoted to his family and was always there for them whenever he was needed. His kindness, generosity and unwavering love for his family touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends but take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Josephine, whom he adored and loved deeply. Together, Jimmy and Josephine taught their family the true meaning of love, devotion, and family. If ever there was a match made in heaven, it was Jimmy and “Josey”!  We can just picture her doing the jitterbug while Jimmy plays his guitar for her once again in heaven.

He is survived by his children: Vincent N. Mondillo, Jr. of Palmer Twp., PA, Tina Marie Lindenmoyer (husband Michael) of Palmer Twp., and Frank J. Mondillo (wife Sherri) of Forks Twp., PA; three grandchildren: Kristen Anderson (husband Michael), Jenna Lindenmoyer, and Joseph Mondillo (partner Tiffany); and 3 great-grandchildren: Sylas, Maverick and Luca. He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine and 3 sisters: Frances Doyle, Catherine Hoadley and Mary Kostolanci.   Jimmy leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry his love, laughter, music, and devotion with them always His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 PM Thursday (August 13, 2026) at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 900 Washington St., Easton with visitation from 12:30 to 1 PM in the church.  The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton, PA is handling arrangements.
