Our hearts are broken. We have shared our many memories of Tafton and the mutual relationships that Shirley had there. May Karl and the children know that our prayers are with them as we all feel the loss of a very kind and loving friend.

    Dear Karl, Janna, and Lisa,

Shirley was a wonderful aunt: I loved her so much. Before she was married to you, Karl(!), I stayed with her – and Grandma Beck – for a month or so. I was probably 13 or 14. Shirley always listened to my long, drawn-out rehashes of movies I’d seen, laughed in the right places, commiserated. Indeed, I have so many good memories of her…. Much love to you all, as you mourn your wife and mom.

    Blessings, always –
    Niece/cousin,
    Deanne

    Karl and Family

I am saddened to hear of Shirley’s passing. We were good schoolmates over 70 years ago at Hawley High. We never lost touch completely, but our
friendship was renewed in the past few years when she made a local historical presentation. Since then we have had a lively correspondence.

    I will miss my friend.

Dr. Dutt, so sorry to hear about your loss and I’m sure the pain in March is still the same. As you share, talk and remember, may you truly find that the one you loved so much is still living in your hearts. My condolences to you and your family. I hope to be at the service on Saturday.
