Frances “Fran” Michler Gassaway of Bethlehem, PA died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Manor Care, Old Orchard.
Born: In Easton she was a daughter of the late Frank and Edna (Applebaugh) Michler. Her husband D. Earle Gassaway died in 1986.
Personal: She was a graduate of Easton High School. Prior to marriage, she was a private secretary to the chief engineer of the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission. She also enjoyed a part-time career modeling for various Easton department stores. After moving to New York City, she became the executive secretary to the president of a publishing company. She and her husband moved to Bethlehem in 1976. Fran touched many lives along life’s journey. She was a loyal friend to those who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will be missed by each and every one.
Survivors: Nephew: Bill Gassaway, great-niece: Linda Dunivin; and great-nephew: Fred Gassaway; and close friends.
Services: Friends may gather at 9:30 a.m. Monday (Mar. 31) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. A service will follow at 10 AM in Easton Cemetery.
