Edward Miller

Edward Miller, 84 of Forks Twp., PA died Thursday, December 22, 2011 in the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s.

Born: April 25, 1927 in Carbondale, PA he was a son of the late Ernest and Minnie Dawson Miller. He and his wife, Mary T. Vodziak Miller have been married for 60 years.

Personal: He had been employed by the Elizabethtown Water Co. in New Jersey for many years before retiring. A 1945 graduate of Benjamin Franklin HS in Carbondale, he was a veteran of the US Air Force.

Memberships: He was a very active member of Bethel Memorial Baptist Church, Palmer Twp.
Survivors: his wife: Mary; son: Jim Miller and his wife Nancy; daughter: Barbara Esposito and her husband Vincent all of Forks Twp.; and 4 granddaughters: Stephanie, Alyson, Vanessa and Kendall

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bethel Memorial Baptist Church, 715 Chestnut Lane, Palmer Twp. with a calling period from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church; the Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton Sts., Easton is handling the arrangements. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.

Memorial Contributions: May be made to the Church, 715 Chestnut Lane, Easton, PA 18045 or to the VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 200, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

    Dear Mary,

    Rob and I are so sorry to hear about Ed. When we found out he was sick, we prayed for his healing; now we’ll pray for your comfort. He was a wonderful man, and we were proud to know him. Sincere sympathies to you and your family.

    Please know I am thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. Ed was a special man, and he will be greatly missed by us all at First Baptist in Somerville. You are in my prayers, and I ask God to bless and keep you in His care.
