Elfriede A. Krug, 79 of Palmer Twp., PA died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. Born March 30, 1937 in Munich, Germany she was a daughter of the late Josef and Rosina (Schaeffler) Thaller. She and her husband Alfred J. Krug have been married for 56 years.
She was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Twp. and volunteered for the Weller Center and Children’s Home of Easton. A strong woman who loved to travel and to cook, Elfriede came to the United States from Germany with her husband and infant son in 1968, before settling in Palmer Twp.
She is survived by her husband Alfred; a son: Oliver and his wife Lisette of Switzerland; a daughter: Claudia Lea and her husband Patrick of Oakland, CA; and 2 grandchildren: Dani and Luca. She was predeceased by a son: Daniel R. Krug in 2002 and her brother: Gerhard Thaller.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Saturday (Jan.28) in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Easton with visitation 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church. Interment: Northampton Memorial Shrine. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

So sorry for her long decline and your final loss. The Krug Family are dear old friends of the Gramlich Family and we will always remember Elfriede. Glad we will be able to come up for her funeral, looking forward to seeing you. Thinking of you all.

Heard about this from Ron Bauer a few days ago and then from others. I only remember Elfriede when she was strong and vital. Maybe that is a good thing. My deepest sympathies!
