Edgar A. Purdy

Edgar A. Purdy, 77, of Easton, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Old Orchard Health Care Center.

Born November 25, 1940 in Easton, he was a son of the late Ira J. and Mary A. (Hill) Purdy.

He and his wife, Beverly L. (Hartzell) Purdy were married 57 years.

Ed was Vice President of Operations for MCS Industries, Easton and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg.

Surviving with his wife, Beverly, are his children, Jill Purdy, Ellen Patterson and Mark Purdy of Easton; a sister, Anna Mae Limeberry of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  His brothers, James and Steward Purdy died earlier.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.  Private interment services will be in Easton Heights Cemetery.

    Jill and family…So very sorry for your loss and Beverly he was a great person who had the strength to live with his health problems with dignity. RIP Ed😢

    Beverly & Family, I want to offer my condolence on the loss of such an awesome man! I knew him as a person and a boss. So sorry for your loss he will be deeply missed! R.I.P Ed
