Philip “Pip” Catalino

Philip “Pip” Catalino, 90, of Calabash, NC, formerly of Roseto, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Born November 3, 1927 in Roseto, he was a son of the late Anthony and Lucy (Sabatine) Catalino.

Pip worked for Valerie Fashions, Wind Gap for many years and retired in 1992.  He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church; American Legion, Post 750, Roseto; Columbia Fire Co., Roseto and Pius X Athletic Association.

Surviving are his wife, Rose M. (Palmisano) Catalino; a son, Guy Catalino and his wife, Jane of Calabash, NC; a brother, Neil Catalino of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Tiffany, Sean, Jillian and Daniel and a great grandson, Liam.

Services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton.  A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, March 1st in the funeral home.   Entombment will be held privately in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

    Dear Rose, Guy & Family,
    I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Pip.
    He will always be remembered as a gentle man who loved his family!
    Always a PX Royal fan who donated his time for our school kids.
