My deepest sympathy to all of her family. She was not only an inspiration to her own family but to thousands of people who are waiting and surviving transplants. God bless her and all who were lucky enough to know her. We were blessed.

My big cousin when growing up, can remember many a time in Bristol Rd, Bridgwater when you had a different point of view from your dad Liam, this type of personality gave you the strength to face all the illnesses that you had to endure in later life.
Blessings to all the family

Geoff and Family,
Jimmy and I are in shock and heartbroken to learn of Maureen’s passing today. I would say Heaven definitely gained another Angel even though for us Maureen and Geoff were like our Angels in disguise on this Earth. We felt very blessed to have crossed paths with the both of you back in 2013 when we came from Alabama to Philadelphia to wait for Jimmy’s Transplant. We will never forget meeting both of you at The Gift of Life Family House and the kindness, caring and compassion both of you showed us. Maureen gave Jimmy a lot of Hope and Encouragement relieved his fears about the transplant process from one Alpha-1 patient to another and both having in common the wonderful
Dr Ahya as your transplant doctor. Geoff gave me a lot of caregiver encouragement and support as well and both of you were so very kind to us we will NEVER forget it!!! The two of you even got your family involved in helping us by paying for some of our nights at the Family House and invited us to your home which we never got to come for a visit due to our circumstances. Maureen and Geoff were some of the first friends we made in Philadelphia during our very long and continuing journey and what a Blessing that is in itself we will never forget you Maureen!!! RIP my friend!! We send our deepest condolences, much love and prayers for the Entire Family!
With Much Love,
Jimmy and Belinda Powell

James, Becky and entire Hillary Family,
We can all learn from a woman like your mother. She was courageous and strong – a felmale warrior. She’s home with her creator now able to breathe freely, without pain and discomfort and worries. God bless her….may she rest in eternal peace until we all meet again. I pray for strength, comfort and peace to you all during this most difficult time.

I was saddened to hear of Maureen’ s passing.. she was such a lovely lady I enjoyed our visits and talks so much. I will never forget her story of skipping school and waiting for the train to meet the Beatles. I’m sure she is hanging out with John and George now. Rest in peace dear lady. You will be missed
