Dennis J. Carroll, 75, of Easton, Pa. and Dunedin, Fla., died Saturday, February 2, 2019. Born September 17, 1943 in Bryn Mawr, Pa., he was a son of the late John W. and Charlotte L. (Rice) Carroll. He and his wife, Susan (Nicely) Carroll, were married 50 years.
Dennis graduated from Elmhurst College and Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. He was ordained as a Lutheran minister in 1970 in La Grange, Ill. and served as a pastor in Nebraska; Zion Lutheran Church, Oldwick, NJ; and Friedens Lutheran Church, Center Valley, Pa. He worked for Allstate Insurance Co. for over 20 years and was a licensed pilot.
Surviving with his wife, Susan, are three sons, Justin D. Carroll, Daniel J. Carroll and his wife Sade, Stuart M. Carroll; a sister, Catherine Muehling; niece Anna and nephew Adam; and three grandchildren, Charles and his mother Julia, Mayowa, and Tolu.
Dennis will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a man of special kindness and warm generosity of spirit.
