James L. Thatcher, 88, of Easton, died Monday, February 11, 2019 in Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton.
Born October 16, 1930 in Easton, he was a son of the late Mary (Frankenfield) and Thomas R. Thatcher, Sr. His wife, Joan H. (Woodruff) Thatcher died in 2002.
James served in the Navy during the Korean War and worked for Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of Chansonnette Theatre and Brothers in Harmony.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Shafer and her husband, Jack; a son, Ronald Thatcher and his wife, Ann Marie; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. His brother, Thomas Thatcher, Jr. died earlier.
Services will be private with interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
