Lawrence H. Oakes, 96, of Easton, PA, died Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Gracedale. Born August 7, 1922 in Quakertown, NJ, he was a son of the late Belle (Woolf) and Jesse Oakes. He was a factory worker for most of his life and served in the Army.
He is survived by his sisters, Phyllis Becker and Marion Palko, both in New Jersey and nieces and nephews. His wife, Catherine (East) Oakes died in 1989.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Northampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Road, Easton. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements. Offer online condolences at www.AshtonFuneralHome.com.
