Name: Phoebe J. Deck, 90, of Palmer Twp. died Sunday, March 11, 2012 in Manor Care Health Services, Palmer Twp.
Born: March 19, 1921 in Wilson Borough, she was a daughter of the late John and Sallie Troxell Bastka.
Personal: She was a 1939 graduate of Wilson High School and had been employed by the former Dixie Cup Co. In 1958 she was elected to the office of Committeewoman for Palmer Twp. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she enjoyed reading.
Memberships: She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Easton where she was active in the Church Mice. She was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, AARP, and the Ambassador Club of St. Paul’s III Lutheran Church.
Survivors: A daughter: Sheila M. Folsom and her husband William of Bethlehem Twp., PA.; a son: Frank J. Yost and his wife Dorothy of Shoemakersville, PA; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husbands: Frank J. Yost in 1947 and Bobby W. Deck in 2009 and a brother: Herman Bastka.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday (3/15) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
