Edwin R. King

Edwin R. King, 94 of Raubsville, PA died March 28, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA. Born November 27, 1927 in Easton, PA he was a son of the late Esther (Merwarth) and S. Ernest King. He was a 1947 graduate of Easton High School where he was on the track team. He had been employed by Rissmiller Construction and was a 50-year member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union, Local #5, before retiring in 1991. Ed was a life member of the Raubsville Sportsmen’s Club and the Williams Twp. Sportsmen’s Club. He was a former member of the Williams Twp. Fire Co.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, the former Barbara Denz; 3 children: Jeffrey King of Raubsville, Sally Berger of Upper Mt. Bethel, PA and Judy Hamilton of Columbia, NJ; and 3 grandsons: Nathan and Patrick Hamilton and Cory Berger. He was predeceased by his stepmother: Eva Brown King and sister: Doris King.

    I knew Red basically my whole life I was a neighbor and grew up with his family he was always a pleasure to talk to he was a good person and a great outdoors men when I was young I enjoyed watching him practice with his bow and arrow. May he rest in peace and God bless
