    R.I.P. John

Just thinking of some of the things we did. Tuesday scary movie nights. Your mom’s cooking for the gang. Your teaching stories and adventures. Running through the empty airport to catch our connecting flight. The Runnin’ Man slot at Delaware Park Casino. Your bike brakes not working downhill at Gettysburg. Not realizing we had air conditioning in the room at Gettysburg. The J Leno Show. Horseshoes hitting your house. Your yelling ‘Go O’s Go’ at the Orioles game and they came back and won. Going with you to see Wilson Area High School and Liberty High School in the state football championships in Hershey.

Our dearest friend JOHN has left us. We will never forget all the good times we had with him at football games, track meets, parties, picnics, etc. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for you. May he rest in peace.

Pat and I just learned of John’s death. We both knew him for a few years after we met him at Renningers in Adamstown.

John was a incredible man and he knew so much about so many things from dirt track racing to the historical backgrounds on so many topics. His dog In Indie will really miss him. As will MANY of his human friends…

He certainly will liven things up in Heaven…

BUT Will Be Missed By Many Here…

    Rest in Peace

Sunday mornings at renningers with John as his booths were next to our booths, was always fun and entertaining. John wanted to sell enough so he could buy Indy a hamburger at McDonald’s on his way home. John was also a very kind and giving person, he would help anyone if he could. We are honored to have known John. Saddened but also happy for John as he is in peace. John and Randy

Good-bye John… I will miss your frequent visits, our lively political discussions and the hand-painted signs you put on your front lawn. You always had an opinion and a story to tell and you and were happy to share it. I learned much from you (as I was a transplant from NJ) and you were a “lifer” here in the Lehigh Valley.
Poor Indy has lost a devoted owner and friend… I will miss him looking for me on your daily walks and seeing him sitting behind the glass doors as I drive past your house. Hopefully one of your many friends have adopted him. (Maybe Scotty??)
I am glad that you had the opportunity, not long ago, to drive fast once again at the racetrack in a car with YOUR old number on it. Hopefully you’ll have another FAST drive to your resting place leaving behind all of the topsy-turvy turmoil going on in the world these days. So sorry that your last days beat you down.
    RIP my friend!!!

I first met John in the early 80’s at Rennigers at his booth,as the saying goes, one thing led to another. John was very gregarious and his laughter would fill the aisles around him. I was always amazed on his knowledge on antiques and the history behind an item. We shared many a Sunday together as well going to pinball shows etc. John will be greatly missed but his legacy will live forever, miss you John.
