I knew Avis from grade school on up…..we were good friends during Nazareth high School….we use to smoke together after school and in the morning before school. One day while on the school bus coming from Nazareth to Tatamy we got kicked off because we lit up a cigarett, we called them whooferetes so no one would know what we meant.Either I or Avis wuld say to each other, hey, lets have a “Whooferete”. She was always twisting a lock of hair, chewing gum and smoking away! a gal full of laughter and a unique laugh at that…..Avis….Rest in Peace!
