Belle Scherzer, 103, of Palmer Township, formerly of Union, Springfield, and Westfield, NJ, died Thursday, September 26, 2024 in St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born April 18, 1921 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Celia (Cutler) Moss. Her husband, Sidney Scherzer died in 1968.
Surviving are a daughter, Dr. Linda Lewis and her husband, Dr. Irwin Lewis; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Laurie Shainker and two sisters, Lilly Scherzer and Frances Cooper.
A private graveside service will be held in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.
