Beverly Lillian Purdy

Beverly Lillian Purdy, 78, of Easton, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in her home.

Born July 11, 1940 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Lillian (Milford) Hartzell. Her husband, Edgar A. Purdy died in 2017.

She worked at MCS Industries, Easton, was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg and graduated from Easton High School in 1958.

Surviving are her children, Dr. Jill Purdy and her spouse, Rosemary Grube; Ellen Patterson and her husband, Glenn and Mark Purdy; brothers, Edward Hartzell and Buddy Jemola; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her sisters, Paula Urteaga and Patricia Hartzell died earlier.

Services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Easton Heights Cemetery.

    My deepest and sincere condolences to your entire family. I have known Bev for many years thru church and swim team. May she Rest In Peace with her family in Heaven. Again your whole family has my sincere condolence and my God help you thru this time.

    I am sorry for your loss, she is going to be missed here at Madison Farms. She was a wonderful person always outside on her patio and she built a bond with our dog Precious. She is a wonderful soul and is very missed.
