    July 8, 2020 at 4:48 pm

Bonnie went from a stranger to “adopting” us as grandchildren in no time flat. I will look back fondly on the times we spent shopping, playing cards and chatting over dinner. I’ll even look back fondly on the few times I had to hide the bread from her on the dinner table! She was an intelligent and eclectic woman with a spicy attitude whom we will miss. Her “grandson” Andrew loves to crack jokes with her and cook her food. Also her great grandson Astor loved to smile at her and hold her hand! We love you Bonnie, thank you for bringing our step dad and great boss Devon into this world and for creating a company with Phil that we love to work for!

Bonnie was a lady with a variety of accomplishments. She was a horsewoman and a business entrepreneur with her husband Phil, having created many horse products sold through the Straight Arrow Corporation they founded. She had a lot on her plate as they also parented three delightful very close in age boys. Bonnie was self-educated in using herbs and natural things as medicines and quite sophisticated with their use.

She had some spiritual gifts as well, all in all making her a very unique soul. Sadly, she suffered more than her fair share of health issues but bore them gracefully.

As I became her ex-husband’s next wife, I was pleased by how charmingly welcoming she was to me on the first and following occasions of our meeting. Sadly, she left too early, but to a better place.

    Rest in peace Bonnie Sprung-Katzev.
