Carl Merwarth, 101, of Palmer Twp., PA died Sunday, February 23, 2020 at ManorCare, Easton. Born September 24, 1918 in Easton, PA he was a son of the late Albert and Daisy (Kline) Merwarth. His wife, the former Helen (Worman) Werkiser Merwarth died in 2001. He was a 1936 graduate of Easton High School and retired from the Aqua Water Co. in 1971 after 41 years of employment. Carl was a member of the Promised Land Church of Nazarene, Bethlehem.
He is survived by sons: Richard Merwarth (wife Maureen) of Huron, OH, Robert Werkiser (wife Diane) with whom he resided; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Five sisters and a brother died earlier.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 7 at 11 AM in the Promised Land Church of the Nazarene, 3982 Hecktown Rd., Bethlehem, PA. Interment will be Friday, March 6 at 11 AM in Easton Heights Cemetery, N. 10th St., Easton. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling arrangements.

Sorry to hear of the passing of my co worker Carl. He was a great guy and never had a bad word about anybody. He taught me a lot at the Water Co . I’m sorry that I’m going to miss the services .
