Connie Asquith

Connie Lee Asquith, 83, formerly of Macungie, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Cornwall Manor in Lebanon, PA. She was born on January 28, 1942, in Harrisburg, PA, to the late Esther (Loose) and Charles T. Strayer.  Connie graduated from Susquenita High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Cedar Crest College and her master’s degree from Moravian University. She faithfully served as a United Methodist pastor in several congregations throughout the Lehigh Valley until her retirement.  Family was at the heart of Connie’s life. She treasured time with her granddaughters, attending their many activities and celebrating each milestone. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting beautiful blankets, and was especially known for her delicious sticky buns.

Connie is survived by her two sons, Jeffery Feltenberger and his wife, Holly, of Marysville, PA, and Steven Feltenberger and his wife, Michelle, of Pensacola Beach, FL; her brothers William, Byron, James, and Dennis Strayer; and eight beloved granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Dr. Glenn H. Asquith, who passed away in 2017.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 1:00 PM at Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery in Haddonfield, NJ. Arrangements are being handled by Ashton Funeral Home, Easton, PA. Offer online condolences at www.AshtonFuneralHome.com.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to her granddaughter, Lauren Feltenberger. Lauren is following in Connie’s footsteps in ministry as a full-time missionary with Overland Missions. Her passion is to make disciples who flourish in freedom and to equip isolated communities with their true identities in Christ Jesus.  Lauren will soon be launching into Mozambique for a two-year rotation, where she will minister on unreached islands, strengthen local pastors, and raise up local disciples into leadership roles. She will serve on the Mozambique team to help establish a second ministry base within the nation. https://overlandmissions.com/donate/laurenfeltenbergermozambique

Pastor Connie was the reason I joined the First United Methodist Church in Easton many years ago. She was the kindest soul and made me and my family feel welcome in the church community. Her dedication to God and the church was evident in everything she did. When she moved on from our church we lost touch, but I remember her fondly to this day. Rest peacefully Pastor Connie. I know you are in the hands of the Lord.

Connie served God faithfully in spite of physical disabilities and sometimes constant pain. I am so thankful that she is now in a place of no pain with her beloved Glenn. I was enriched by my friendship with her over the years and regret not being able to see her in the past few years, but tried to visit every chance I had before that. I pray that your memories will be of her vitality in spite of her difficulties. May she rest in peace and be at home with her heavenly Father. May all who loved her find comfort in good memories and her eternal hope.
