David Fuller Armstrong, aged 91, passed away on October 8, 2024, in Bethlehem, PA. Born on September 4, 1933, David was known for his great sense of humor and easygoing nature, always rooting for the underdog. His personality made him beloved among family and friends.
David proudly served in the United States Army, a testament to his dedication and service to his country. After his military service, he embarked on a successful career as the owner of Armstrong Travel Agency in Bethlehem, PA. He later ventured into marketing retirement communities across the United States. After years living in Florida and California, David returned to Bethlehem in retirement, and enjoyed working at Old Homestead, Morgan Hill, and Bear Creek Ski Resort .
He was an alumnus of St. Lawrence University and Syracuse University. David previously served as president of the Kiwanis Club of Bethlehem, PA. His hobbies included golfing and model boat building.
David was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bethlehem, PA.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sydna (Gaspar) Armstrong, his children, Kim Breslin, Todd Armstrong, and Brett Armstrong, as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A private family gathering will be held to honor David’s life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Gracedale Nursing Home, who provided exceptional and loving care while suffering Alzheimer’s disease. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
