
Douglas Allen Campbell, 82, of Forks Twp., PA died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Moravian Hall Square.
Born: April 18, 1932 in Easton, PA he was a son of the late James and Virginia (Muffley) Campbell. He and his wife, the former Barbara A. Helm have been married for 58 years.
Personal: He received an Associate’s Degree from Penn State and had been employed by the Crayola Co. for 43 years before retiring in 1993. He was an avid fisherman who loved bicycling, traveling worldwide and gardening, especially his orchids. He also served in the Navy during the Korean War as a communications technician.
Memberships: He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson where he served on Church Council. He was a member of the American Production Inventory Control Society and past-president of the Industrial Management Club of Lehigh Valley.
Survivors: He is lovingly remembered by his wife: Barbara; son: David L. Campbell and his wife Stacy of Forks Twp., PA; daughters: Deborah L. Gibson and her husband Kim of Sherman, IL; Cherie Y. Sperlbaum and her husband Jeffrey of New Tripoli, PA; a brother: James G. Campbell of Nazareth, PA; sister: Jayne E. Kunkel of Glastonbury, CT; 6 grandchildren: Justin Gibson, Garrett and Samantha Sperlbaum, Collin, Courtney and Brayden Campbell and great-grandson: Brendan Gibson. He was predeceased by a son: Todd Douglas Campbell and brother: Robert Campbell.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday (Apr.28) in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton, with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
Memorials: May be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2115 Washington Blvd., Easton, PA 18042.

To the Campbell Family. So sorry for your loss. Doug was a special guy. As one of the fellow “old timers:” with the Tri State Hookers, we spent a lot of time together on our fishing trips. He was a pleasure to be with. He also had a special bond with David and Jeff. May he Rest in Peace.
