What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Terry was a classmate of mine at Harvard. We played football together, we lived in the same house and we attended many of the same classes. Recently I was at a reunion of some Navy Officers who I was with in Viet Nam. After some 40+ years, I found out that one of them was the center on that famous undefeated team in 1958, his name was Barry Pearson. I sent an email to Terry to let him know about Barry and after many years of not much contact we had a delightful conversation and one would not have thought such a great deal of time had elapsed. Harvard and Harvard exploits were relived like yesterday. He was a wonderful man, a wonderful friend and I will never forget him

My heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I first got to know Terry back ’58 or ’59 when my father and Bob Rute had a sporting goods on 13th street. All of the ahtletes from those great teams used to frequent the store , and they were great role models for a 12 year old. My father also coached Terry on the Legion baseball team , and I was the bat boy. I have great memories of those times. Later, Terry treated me for several of my sports related injuries that have come back to haunt me later in life. Our paths would cross occasionally. Once, my son, Josh, and Terry’s son ran against each other on a cross country meet. Easton has lost one of it’s best. He was a scholar and an athlete and always a gentleman.
