Elsie J. Amy, 95 formerly of Wilson Borough, PA passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Easton Skilled Nursing Center. Born August 14, 1928 in Easton, PA she was the daughter of the late Violet (Feeman) and Alex Powell. Her husband of 61 years, Robert C. Amy, passed away September 13, 2009. A 1946 graduate of Easton High School, she was employed by Mack Printing in the bindery department for 17 years before retiring in 1990. Elsie was a former member of First United Church of Christ where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She loved spending time with her family, especially the children and she enjoyed going to bingo as well as reading and doing puzzles of all kinds.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Deborah Happel (husband Wayne) of Wilson Borough and Roberta Rapp (husband Brian) of Bethlehem Twp., PA; a sister: Dawn Medlar of Levittown, PA; 5 grandchildren: Jessica, Luanne, Lauren, Andrew and Stephanie; and 8 great-grandchildren: Mason, Anaiya, Natalie, Jacob, Matthew, Hunter, Timber and Killian. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers: Ralph Powell and Alex Powell, Jr.
