Ethel Kares, 101, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of Easton, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Florida.
Born July 24, 1916 in Norwalk, Conn., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Sarah (Garber) Avrick. Her husband, Dr. Harold Kares died in 2009. Ethel was a member of Temple Covenant of Peace, Easton and the Northampton Country Club.
Surviving are her sons, Robert Kares and Alan Kares; 2 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Her brother, Irving Avrick and her sister, Anne Elcoff died earlier.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 26, 2018 in Temple Covenant of Peace, Easton. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
