I first met Frances when she helped me get a cat for Polly Reiss, her next door neighbor at Westminster Village. She was instrumental in helping me, because Polly was hard of hearing, and Frances helped me understand her. At the time, Frances had her own cat, a beautiful tiger named Mikey, yet she was always willing to lend Polly a hand with Phantom. Sadly, Polly and then Mikey died, and Frances had to move into the Health Care Center at Westminster.Although I really didn’t keep in touch with her, she would always say hello to me when I’d see her in the halls of Westminster, and I felt comfortable with her. Her last few months were not pleasant, I’m sure, so it is a blessing she can now be at peace, and reunited with those she loved, including Mikey. May God bless the Lewis family during their time of sorrow.
