George S. Paar, Jr.

George S. Paar, Jr. 66, of Easton, died Sunday, February 16, 2025 in St. Luke’s Hospital. Born August 21, 1958, he was the son of the late George S. and Eva (Herenkovics) Paar. George graduated from Easton Area High School in 1976. He was a Field Artillery Surveyor and Hand Grenade Expert in the US Army and was an expert machine operator for Paar Precision, Freemansburg. George assisted in the operations of the Eagle Hotel, Freemansburg and was a member of the Avona Volunteer Fire Company.

Surviving are a daughter, Melissa Paar; two sons, George Paar, III, and Rene Pataky; two brothers, Alex Paar and Laszlo “Lutz” Paar; a sister, Linda Paar; a grandson; and his forever love, Tammy Buck.

A celebration of life will be announced. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Offer online condolences at www.AshtonFuneralHome.com.

    My Deepest Condolences to you and your Family, Tammy. We had many fun times listening to George’s stories and jokes while sipping on Rock and Rye. And his Kiffles were absolutely delicious. RIP George 🙏

    So sorry to the whole family. George was such a hoot! We had many of laughs sitting around at Bar-Don, among others. May he rest in peace. He is being greeted I’m sure with some of the crew that left before him with open arms and they are already stirring it up.
