Giuseppe “Joseph” Panzica, 78, of Palmer Twp. died Sunday, August 28, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg.
Born: February 25, 1933 in Italy he was a son of the late Filippo and Angela Sciascia Panzica.
Personal: he had been employed by the Northampton Country Club for many years before retiring and could often be seen walking around the community.
Memberships: he was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer.
Survivors: daughter: Angela Sherwood and her husband David with whom he resided; former wife: JoAnn Murray; brother: Michele in Italy; a niece and nephew whom he helped raise: Lillo and Sara Vecchio; his dogs; and other nieces and nephews including: Lina Curto and her husband Frank and family. He was predeceased by a brother: Gaetano and sisters Rosalia Tornabene and Maria Vecchio.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Easton with a calling period from 9:30 to 10:30 in the church. The Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton Streets, Easton is in charge of arrangements. Interment: Northampton Memorial Shrine.
Memorials: may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St., Allentown, PA or to the Church.

Papa please know that I love you and hope that you are up there watching over me and all I do. I am glad that you are no longer in pain. I will miss your presence in the house and it is not the same. The dogs miss you as well. Rest In Pease my beloved papa.

Angela I am sorry for your loss which is also my own. Without him there would have been no you. We all had many good times together. Now we have the good memories of him. He will alway be in our hearts forever. I love you. Mom
