Miss Pessin loved and cared for her students. And because she cared they learned so much from her. I was her student at Tracy School during the ’79-’80 school year. I remember so much about her, her clothes, the tone of her voice, her eyes, how she would put her arm on your shoulder when you were sad….but more than anything I remember her kindness. Miss Pessin showed her students kindness on a daily basis. Even when they weren’t in school, once I missed a week of school and every day she sent home a pencil, and eraser, even paper dolls to let me know she was thinking of me and she cared. A teacher like Miss Pessin is never forgotten, I will never forget her, she left her handprint on my heart. RIP Miss Pessin ❤

My daughter, who is in first grade, and I were just two days ago talking about who my first grade teacher was. And yes, it was a loved Miss Pessin. I was explaining to her that her uncle, and her grandfather, had her as well for first grade. Always great memories of Miss Pessin. Sending our condolences to her family. She was a wonderful teacher.
