James R. Kilpatrick

James R. Kilpatrick, 71, of Camp Hill, formerly of Easton, died Friday, March 19, 2021 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg.

Born September 24, 1949 in Wilson Borough, he was a son of Mamie I. (Stoneback) Kilpatrick of Easton and the late Herbert E. Kilpatrick, Jr. He and his wife, Nancy M. (Bickert) Kilpatrick were married 42 years.

Jim served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and worked as a superintendent at Taylor-Wharton for 40 years until retiring in 2010. He was an avid softball player and was a wrestling and football coach.

Surviving with his mother, Mamie and his wife, Nancy, are his stepchildren, Norman “Pete” Stout and his wife, DKay, Kimberly Wismer, Cheryl Konopaski, and Charlene Pleiss; two sisters, Patricia Vincent and Kathleen Vincent; a stepdaughter-in-law, Tracy; twelve step grandchildren; and eighteen step great grandchildren. His stepchildren, Robert Stout and Robin Kilpatrick; his brother, Robert Kilpatrick; and his step granddaughter, Jessica died earlier.

A visitation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 pm on Sunday, March 28, 2021 and from 10:00 to 10:30 am on Monday, March 29, 2021 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 29, 2021 in Easton Cemetery.

    Very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Haven’t seen Jim since 1973 when I worked at TW with Jim. 40 years at TW, that’s quite a feat. Was friends with and Bob since grade school days in Avona Heights . Kirkpatricks were an excellent family. Wish I could have seen Jim again at some point. Did see Bob in boot camp in USN in 1969. Jim was one of the good guys. My condolences to all members of his family. Jim will be missed .
