Judith D. Memering, 79, of Palmer Township, died Sunday, October 20, 2024 in St. Luke’s Hospital. Born April 17, 1945 in Camp McCoy, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Derwood and Glenna (Nichols) Jacob. She and her husband, Melvin N. Memering were married 54 years. Judi was a graduate of University of Illinois and served in the Women’s Army Corp during the Vietnam War. She was an elementary school teacher in the Easton Area School District for 25 years and retired in 2008. She was an active member of the Arts Club at the YMCA, Easton and a member of AAUW.
Surviving with her husband, Mel, are a son, Jason Memering and two grandchildren. She also has four siblings, Derwood, Jr., Beverly, Karen, and Teresa.
A visitation will be held from 10:30 am until noon on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. Judi and Mel were my neighbors and good friends for so many years. I am very sad that she is gone. Mel you have my sincerest condolences and a big hug from afar.
