June Boyer Caponigro, 90, of College Hill, Easton, died Monday, February, 13, 2012 in Easton Hospital.
Born: June 10, 1921 in Wilson Borough, she was a daughter of the late John Wesley and Sarah (Ashworth) Young.
Personal: She was the owner of June’s Beauty Salon on College Hill since 1960 and also worked at Utopia Wicker Store, Easton for many years. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1938 and was a graduate of Henry’s Academy of Beauty, Allentown. Her first husband, Walter R. Boyer, Sr. and her second husband, Jerry S. Caponigro died earlier.
Memberships: June was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Easton and the Order of the Eastern Star, William Parsons Chapter.
Survivors: A daughter, Beth June Browning of California; a son, Stephen J. Boyer of Easton; two step-daughters, Brenda Stahley of Florida and Rosalie Gee of California; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A son, Walter R. Boyer, Jr.; two step-sons, John A. Caponigro and Jerry S. Caponigro, Jr.; and 7 brothers and sisters died earlier.
Services: 10:30 am Friday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. Call from 6 – 7:30 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
Memorials: American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
