It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen (Kathy) E. Edinger of Forks Township, who passed away peacefully and surrounded by love at home on November 21, 2024, at the age of 72 years. Born in Easton, PA on September 14, 1952, she was the eldest daughter of the Jack and Mae (Trach) Reaser.
Kathy graduated from Easton Area High School, class of 1970. She worked for the DUI program in Northampton County for approximately 25 years until her retirement in 2017.
She was an active member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Tatamy, taking part in the women’s guild, bible study, crocheted prayer shawls, and supported fundraising efforts with church members. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved word games, playing Scrabble, jigsaw puzzles, baking and decorating for the seasons- especially her annual tradition of Christmas wreath and grave blanket decorating.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband of fifty years, Robert C. Edinger; daughter, Stephanie Bradley and her husband, Robert; son Daniel Edinger and his wife, Lori; daughter Sarah Krebs and her husband Joshua; and cherished grandchildren: Benjamin, Robert, Emily, Jesse and Claire; a sister, Joan Reaser; a brother, Paul Reaser and his wife Melanie, along with countless extended family and friends who felt her warmth and kindness.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 25, 2024 in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Tatamy. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Monday in the church. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
The family would like to thank the members of St. Peter’s UCC, Lehigh Valley Health Network’s ALS team as well as the hospice team for all of the care and comfort given to Kathy during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Kathy to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 401 Broad St., Tatamy, PA 18085.

I’ve known Dan, Lori, Ben and Jessie for many years and met Kathy through them. Kathy was a beautiful, quiet and gentle woman who lived out her faith serving God, her family, friends and her church. My heartfelt sympathy to the Edinger family. I pray the comfort only God can give will flood your hearts and minds.
