Kathryn E. Johnson, 93, passed peacefully on Saturday, July 17 at the Renaissance Senior Home in Forks Township, PA. She was the loving wife of William C. Johnson with whom she shared 66 years of marriage before his passing in 2014. Born September 23, 1927, Kathryn was the daughter of the late Hervey A. Heitzman and Elsie G. Garr Heitzman. In addition to egg art, crocheting, and other crafts, she enjoyed family vacations, dancing, gardening, baking, genealogy, and local history. In recent years, her cockapoo, Princess, was a faithful companion.

Kathryn was a force of nature, and brought that passion to all she did. We have plenty of great memories of this wonderful lady. A very talented artist, she was always willing to share a technique or easier way of doing things with all who would care to learn. She was formative in both our club and our Egg Show’s existence. We will truly miss her guidance and presence.

Kathryn was a joy to know. I knew her through the Forks Area Art Society. She was a great artist. I always went to the Eggs Original shows to see her beautiful work. Her caring personality and sense of humor were precious. Know that she continues to live in your hearts.
