Ken – (Mr. Nier ) as we respectfully called him, was the finest trumpet teacher our son Paul ever had. I remember him repeatedly going over and over his ” tuh-tuh – kah, tuh – tuh – kuh, tuh – tuh – kuh, triple tonguing exercises. It all paid off. Paulie went on to make 1st chair NJ All-State Band, was accepted into Rutger’s “Mason Gross School of the Arts”, and finally Into the “Marine Corps Band”. Ken set down the ALL the necessary fundamentals required of a good player. And, on top of that, he was just sooo nice of a guy! How Paulie cried when Ken had to give up his lessons. However he was well prepared for his next Ken – Ken Brader. Everyone will surely miss him.

    Sincerely, Jerry and Linda Paetzell
