Leslie Joyce Caswell, 48, formerly of Washington, NJ died Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. Born December 16, 1975 in Hackettstown, NJ she was a daughter of the late Warren and Candace (Krug) Caswell and Melody (Hunter) Caswell McAllister and James McAllister of Glendon, PA. She was a graduate of Warren Hills Regional High School. Leslie was employed by the Hunterdon Developmental Center for more than 10 years. She cared for many with developmental challenges and truly made a difference in their lives. She was a member and Past Grand Officer of the NJ Order of Eastern Star, Delaware Chapter and a member and Past Worthy Advisor of Easton Assembly International Order of Rainbow for Girls. Never wanting to be defined by her own disability, Leslie was all about helping others, especially children.

She is survived by Melody “Mindy” and James McAllister; her sister: Amanda Best (Jared) of Washington, NJ; sister-in-law: Amy Caswell of Glendon; aunt: Jane Krug Bradley (Gene) of Green Brook, NJ; uncle: Edward Krug (John) of East Hampton, NY; former husband: Donald Skorets of Belvidere, NJ; cousin: Colin Bradley; nieces and nephews: Carissa Stala, Austyn McCloskey, Duncan Caswell, Liam Caswell, Mason Best and Anara Best; and many extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Matthew Caswell.

A calling period will be held from noon to 1 PM Saturday, May 11 at Flynn’s on the Hill (now The Mainline Event Center), 341 Pursel St., Phillipsburg, NJ with a Celebration of Life Service to follow. Interment will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ.
