
Marie M. Buck, 92, formerly of Wilson Borough died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus.
Born: May 13, 1920 in Fountain Hill, PA she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Grace Bentz Mettler. Her husband of 51 years, Robert J. Buck, died in 1994.
Personal: A 1938 graduate of Wilson High School, she was one of the original volunteers for Meals on Wheels volunteering for 22 years. She also volunteered for RADPRIN, a radio reading service for the print impaired.
Memberships: She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson Borough where she sang in the choir and was active with the ELCW.
Survivors: Son: John F. Buck and his wife Gloria of Bryan, OH; daughter: Janet B. Romich and her husband Ronald of Vienna, VA; brother: Charles Mettler of Medford, OR; sister: Claire Bamford of Pennington, NJ; 2 granddaughters: Samantha Romich of Elkton, MD; Tiffany Bishop and her husband Gerald of Thornton, CO; and great-grandson: Aiden Robert Bishop. She was predeceased by her husband: Robert and her dear friend: Harry Mertz.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday (6/22) in Moravian Hall Square, Kortz Hall, 175 W. North St., Nazareth; the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements.
