Elaine, As you are aware, Bud was my hero on many fronts, football, biology ( that’s why I pursued a BS and MS in biology, before going to dental school at Temple Univ )…most importantly, he was a life mentor and shared those values for us all by being of the highest caliber in vision and showing us the discipline required to become successful. He was , as we said, ” the real deal “. The world is better because of his teachings and mentoring. I loved my hero, Bud Klinger. May God have mercy on his soul and comfort you during this time. My regards to the kids and please remind them how much we loved your husband. Love, Roger Boger

Bud was a great teacher. He taught me biology and later we taught together at Wilson for almost 20 years. Bud always had great stories and advice about investing and life in general. A true gentleman and stand-up guy. Sympathies to Elaine and his family…

As Roger Boger stated above, Coach Klinger was a mentor to many of us high school boys. I can’t think of a better measure of a person’s life than by how he was able to mold young people in a positive way. As a kid from the Children’s Home, he taught me a lot about what it takes to be successful in life. Thank you coach, and may your family be assured your legacy lives on in those of us you helped grow in your image.

Dear Mrs. Klinger, Debbie, Mark & Family,

I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Klinger, may you hold all the memories close to your heart so they give you comfort through these rough days ahead.

Mrs. Klinger, you taught me in first grade at Palmer Elementary. I was the child that always fell asleep in your class cause my mom always kept me up late watching TV. You were one of my favorite teachers. I loved reading the Bible, back in those days where you were allowed to carry the Bible to school. I thought you were the most prettiest teacher I ever saw with your black hair.

Debbie you and I went to school together, I still have the Palm and look at it quite often to remember those good old days at Palmer Elementary. I too am so sorry for the loss of your father.

God Bless you all as you go forward without him, but know that he is in a better place with no pain or suffering and is a whole man again, walking amongst God’s beautiful Kingdom. Where you will see him again.

PS, if you have Facebook you can look me up by my name and we can get in contact.

    Blessings,
    ~

My all-time favorite teacher…WHS Class of 1961. He made biology come alive with a good dose of humor as well.
As a veteran myself, I salute his service and wish him Godspeed and add my most sincere condolences to his family.

Mr. Klinger was indeed my favorite teacher of all. While I loved biology and incorporated it in my life, I was not able to choose it as a vocation. However, my children benefited by the interest instilled by him through me and today my daughter is a Cornell Veterinarian. We must never under estimate the power of the ‘ripple affect’ of an outstanding teacher like Mr. Klinger. Sincere sympathies to the Klinger family.
