Martin W. Frankenfield, Sr.

Martin W. Frankenfield, Sr., 83, of Forks Township, formerly of Easton, died Friday, November 3, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. Born August 10, 1940 in Easton, he was the son of the late Marvin Frankenfield, Sr. and Beulah (Kelchner) Frankenfield. He and his wife, Catherine M. (Lynch) Frankenfield were married 63 years. Martin graduated from Easton High School in 1958 and was a plant superintendent at Sheridan Printing Co. He worked there for 47 years and retired in 2005. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church and was a volunteer and coach for the Bethlehem Special Olympics.

Surviving with his wife, Catherine are four sons, Martin Frankenfield, Jr. and his wife, Colleen of Forks Township, Scott Frankenfield, Sr. and his wife, Francesca of Glen Mills, Timothy Frankenfield and his wife, Amy of Whitehall, and Keith Frankenfield and his wife, Lori of Forks Township; a daughter, Karen Hart and her husband, Chris of Lopatcong Township; two sisters, Frances Thomas and Betty Short; fifteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kelly Marie Frankenfield; three brothers, Marvin Frankenfield, Harold Frankenfield, and Sherwood “Woody” Frankenfield; two sisters, Dorothy Frankenfield and Bessie Daws, and a grandson.

Services will be private. The Ashton Funeral Home, Easton is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Special Olympics, P.O.
